I hope this message finds you safe, warm & well. You may remember my dear friend, Dr. Abdallah, from our Supporting Gaza's Healers event last September, a 28-year-old surgeon and one of few surviving medical practitioners in Gaza. As a Registered Nurse & Artist Against Genocide with Palestine in my heart, I have remained in daily contact with Abdallah since last February & am now launching a crowdfunding campaign through chuffed.org to sustain our collective support!
Over the last year, together we have been able to raise over $12,000, which was used to support Dr. Abdallah's work in the medical tent & hospital, and contribute to family survival during an active genocide.

The last five months have been extremely challenging for him as the sole provider for his family of twelve. With cold weather, aid trucks being looted, resources dwindling, and inflation & price-gouging at an all-time high, the situation has become increasingly dire. For example, a dozen eggs costs $36 and up to $72 in Northern Gaza, one kg of frozen meat is $50, $100 in the north, and a 25 kg bag of flour is $150 but up to $1000 in the north; if available at all, hygiene products & groceries including fruit and veggies are anywhere from 20 to 200 times more expensive right now.
The good news is Dr. Abdallah has found an apartment for his 12-person family. This is a huge relief since their home in North Gaza is rubble and they need shelter now! I have personally raised & donated enough to cover Abdallah's first month's rent and basic household necessities. LET'S KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM!
